2022 Annual Convention

December 1-3, 2022, Embassy Suites Hotel, Albuquerque, NM

 The New Mexico School Boards Association conducted its 2022 Annual Convention December 1-3, 2022. The Convention began Thursday afternoon, December 1 with New and Veteran Board Member Training and our Board of Directors Meeting. On Friday, December 2 attendees listened to several informative keynote speakers; attended the Annual Recognition Awards Luncheon and participated in the Annual Delegate Assembly to adopt legislative priorities and elect state officers. The Convention continued on Saturday, December 3 with several breakout sessions on important school governance and public education topics.

2023 Board Member Institute

February 2-4, 2023,  Hilton Hotel & Santa Fe Convention Center, Santa Fe, NM

 The New Mexico School Boards Association will conduct the 2023 Board Institute during the Annual Legislative Session in Santa Fe and which will allow board members an opportunity to advocate for education priorities with State Legislators. The Board Institute  features informative general sessions and a variety of workshops and webinars on school governance and public education topics.

2023 School Law Conference

June 1-3, 2023, Embassy Suites Hotel, Albuquerque, NM

The New Mexico School Boards Association and the Cuddy and McCarthy Law Firm will host the 44th Annual School Law Conference for school board members, superintendents and school personnel. The conference features presentations on the latest legal issues facing public education and includes numerous breakout sessions to assist new and veteran school board members, administrators and educators.

2023 Leadership Retreat 

July 13-15,  2023 – The Lodge, Cloudcroft, NM

The New Mexico School Boards Association will conduct the 2023 Leadership Retreat for School Board Leaders, Board of Directors and other School Board Members who wish to take advantage of NMSBA training opportunities. The Retreat will focus on leadership strategies and skills for new and veteran school board members.
