2020 Virtual School Law Conference Scheduled!

We are pleased to announce NMSBA’s Virtual School Law Conference has been set for Friday, July 10th! Please mark your calendar and plan to participate in this one day online event comprised of five informative sessions which will be presented by the Cuddy and McCarthy Law Firm in lieu of the Annual School Law Conference which was cancelled earlier this month due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Board Members and Superintendents are invited to attend the virtual conference at no cost via the Zoom Meeting App (Invitation and link are provided below) . The Cuddy and McCarthy Law Firm has developed an excellent program of presentations. Board Members will have an opportunity to earn five hours of training credits prior to the August 31st close of the official training year. So don’t miss this excellent opportunity to inform yourself on important educational issues.

2020 Leadership Retreat (Cancelled)

July 9-11, 2020, Sagebrush Inn, Taos, NM

The New Mexico School Boards Association will conduct the 2020 Leadership Retreat for School Board Leaders, Board of Directors and other School Board Members who wish to take advantage of NMSBA training opportunities. The Retreat will focus on leadership strategies and skills for new and veteran school board members.

2020 Annual Convention

           December 3-5 2020, Embassy Suites, Albuquerque, NM

 The New Mexico School Boards Association will conduct the 2020 Annual Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On Friday attendees will listen to  keynote speakers, participate in the Delegate Assembly to adopt legislative priorities and elect state officers. Outstanding school board members will be honored with recognition and training awards at theAwards Luncheon.  The Convention continues on Saturday with a variety of breakout sessions on school governance and public education.

2021 Board Member Institute

         February 10-13, 2021, Eldorado Hotel, Santa Fe, NM

 The New Mexico School Boards Association will host the 2021 Board Institute during the Annual Legislative Session in Santa Fe and  will provide opportunities for board members to advocate for education priorities with State Legislators. The Board Institute will feature informative general sessions and a variety of breakout sessions on school governance and public education.

2021 School Law Conference
