School Law Conference
May 31- June 1, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM at the Hotel Albuquerque in Old Town
The School Law Conference is a very popular conference that provides information to board members, administrators and education stakeholders on the finer points and changes in School Law.

Leader's Retreat
July 12-13, 2013 at the Lodge in Cloudcroft, NM
The Leader's Retreat is a smaller conference atmosphere where training is specifically geared to leadership training of Board Presidents and NMSBA Board of Directors with procedural, legal and ethics issues in a leadership role. Other board members are welcome to attend.
If you are interested in presenting, please review the Call for Proposals which is due June 7th to be considered on the agenda.

Annual Convention
December 6-7, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM
The Annual Convention is a conference that provides information to board members, administrators and education stakeholders on a variety of topics. In addition, the association business (reports from Finance, Nominations, Policy & Resolutions and the election of state officers) is conducted at the Friday Afternoon Delegate Assembly. There is also an Awards Luncheon on Friday that recognizes Leadership Development Program participants and those receiving Recognition for outstanding achievements, such as Board Member of the Year, Board of Education of the Year, Hall of Fame and 24-Year Service.

Board Institute
was held February 22-23, 2013 at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, NM
Board Institute focuses on legislative issues and there will be an opportunity to visit the Roundhouse. Board Institute also incorporates newly appointed/elected board member training from the Public Education Department as well as training for the more experienced board member.
